Using M14X

Reported hard disk problem, overheating(CPU temperature is around 90C when opening several (3?) tabs in chromes... no

3d games...), speaker problem, and sound-out port problem, several days ago.

summary:

-  Call center guy  handles only one issue even if I have multiple issues.

- Tech did not arrived on time. At least 1h late

- Tech did not install windows and drivers when he replaced hard disk

-  Call center guy  thinks 90C CPU temperature is normal with 4 opened tabs in chrome and a few processes (CPU usage is under 5%)

- Call center guy think physically broken sound-out port is also caused by missing drivers...

Hard disk problem

It showed just black screen (nothing in there) after showing alien head.

I explained the black screen is caused by physical hard disk problem for 40 minutes.

They didn't believe me.

At the first time, software department handled this and they asked me to restart the computer several times.

Just reported "showing black screen" all the case.

Then they realized this is the hardware problem.

And hardware department asked me to restart the computer several times again...

Then I could run diagnostics.

There was an error on hard disk.

They ordered new one and scheduled tech.

They did not care other problems (overheating, speaker, and sound-out port)

They said it might be caused by no windows...

Does not make sense at all...

They said they could not handle other problems before replacing hard disk.

Tech was supposed to get my place between 9AM and 1PM, but he called me at 1:20 PM and said that he would be arrived my place in 45 minutes.

Actually tech is arrived  around 2:15 PM

Reported 3 other problems to the tech and tech just ignored and left without installing windows and drivers.

Installed windows by myself.

No way to install drivers because M14X cannot detect internet cable...

Downloaded ethernet driver via mobile and moved the file to PC.

Then downloaded and After replacing hard disk.

Called alienware again to solve other issues.

They said it was first time to hear the report of overheating, broken speaker, and broken sound-out port...

The guy made me restart PC and run diagnostics.

CPU was 99C when running diagnostics.

Then he said missing drivers caused overheating...(How come...)

He spent over 1.5 hours to download drivers and install them.

Finally, he ran intel process diagnostic tool.

It showed "Temperature = 7 degrees C below maximum"

That means is 93C

He said this is normal not overheating...

Asked "are you sure?"

And told him there is temp threshold on most CPU and if the temp get threshold CPU clock speed get slow to protect itself.

He said he knew that and it was normal

So frustrated.

Beg him to solve broken sound-out port.

He said he needed download all missing drivers and install it.

Why did he need to do that to fix physically broken sound-out jack...
